The Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg has announced that it is organising an online lecture by Mathias Lund Larsen on "Chinese green finance and the prospects for cooperation with the EU" on Thursday 21 April 2022, from 18:00 to 19:30.

Mathias Lund Larsen is Senior Research Consultant at China's main green finance think tank, the International Institute of Green Finance. He is also a dual PhD Fellow at Copenhagen Business School and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The lecture will show how China approaches green finance, how much progress has been made and what the main challenges are. It will cover both domestic issues like environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing and the green bond market, as well as overseas aspects such as Chinese financing for energy projects across the world. Lastly, it will highlight projects aimed at greater collaboration between the European Union (EU) and China.

This free event will be held via Webex (the link will be sent after registration) and is open to all. Registration is required via email: confucius@uni.lu or via tel.: 466-6444964.
