Luxembourg for Finance has announced that it is organising a livestream event entitled "Building Bridges with the UK" on Wednesday 23 February 2022, from 10:00 to 11:30.

According to Luxembourg for Finance, it is time to chart a new chapter in United Kingdom-European Union (UK-EU) financial services, one that builds on the already strong ties that exist to ensure that, while each moves in its own direction, the relationship remains intact.

This webinar will examine the future UK-EU financial services relationship, delving into the opportunities for growth, the future landscape and more.

Kerstin Mathias, Regulatory Affairs and Policy Director at The City of London Corporation, will present the different reforms planned for the UK's financial services industry.

Experts from M&G International Investments, Jupiter Asset Management and Elvinger Hoss Prussen will then analyse what opportunities exist for asset managers in both the EU and UK markets and how best to leverage these. This is followed by a deep-dive into life insurance on both sides of the Channel, with Marc Hengen, CEO of the Luxembourg Insurance and Reinsurance Association (ACA), interviewing Florent Albert, Managing Director Europe and Group CFO of Lombard International.

Thibault de Barsy, Vice-Chairman and General Manager of The Payments Association EU, and Marion King, Director of Payments at NatWest Group, will close the event by looking into the future of the payments landscape.
