The Institut Pierre Werner (IPW) has announced that it is holding a two-part event as part of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

These events are organised in collaboration with the Europe Direct Information Centre of the University of Luxembourg (EDIC), the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) and its partners (the Historical Archive of the European Union in Florence, the Berlin Wall Foundation, the European Commission Representation in Luxembourg and the German Embassy in Luxembourg).

The two-part event series entitled "30 ans chute du Mur de Berlin" will begin with a screening of the film "Un mur à Berlin" by Patrick Rotman (France) on Monday 18 November 2019 at 18:30 in Neumünster Abbey. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Georges Marion (Le Monde) and Prof. Dr. Andreas Fickers, Director of the C²DH.

The two-part event will continue with a Forum Z panel discussion the following day at 18:30. This discussion looks at "D'un mur à l'autre ... Histoire (s) connectée (s)" with Tatiana Fabeck, Dr. Andrey Grachev, Dr. Gerhard Sälter, Dr. Dieter Schlenker and Prof. Benoît Majerus (moderator).

The first event will be held in French, whilst the second will be held in German and French with simultaneous translation. Entry is free for both parts.
