Mounir Mahjoubi, the former Secretary of State for Digital Affairs in France and deputy of Paris, will be delivering a keynote speech at this year's Luxembourg Internet Days, taking place from 12-13 November 2019 at the Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

Organised by LU-CIX and now in its sixth edition, the Luxembourg Internet Days event is designed around keynote speeches and interactive discussions along with a focussed exhibition area. This year, over 450 companies will be joining and more than 1,000 attendees are expected at this two-day event.

This year, the organisers have chosen to put the spotlight on Luxembourg's neighbour, France, due in part to the latter's strong involvement in the fight against cybercrime as well as its technological dynamism. The first day will focus on Network and Cloud Security (in English with simultaneous translation into French), whilst the second day will centre around E-commerce and Digitalisation (in French with simultaneous translation into English). Indeed, the second day will feature a keynote speech entitled "Ensemble pour encourager la transformation numérique de nos pays" by French politician Mounir Mahjoubi.

Other keynote speeches will be delivered by Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Minister Delegate for Digitalisation, Marc Hansen, Candi Carrera (Microsoft) on the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Ken Ducatel (European Commission) on cyber hygiene and Enrico Camilli (European Commission) on the Digital Single Market, among others.
