EAEC, the European American Enterprise Council, a transatlantic start-up accelerator, with its European headquarters in Luxembourg, is organising, in partnership with Luxinnovation, the first Luxembourg pavilion at the famous high-tech trade show, Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, in 2018.
8 booths in the heart of the Eureka Pavilion will be awarded to the best start-ups of the square who will represent the country at the world's most publicised new tech event.
Luxembourg, a country of innovation, will make its debut at the CES in Las Vegas next year, from 9 and 12 January 2018, and will welcome, as every year, start-ups with the most technologically advanced concepts and products. This time round, thanks to the participation of EAEC, the Grand Duchy will have eight booths located within the Eureka Pavilion, the most popular space of the CES, covering more than 240,000 m2, i.e. 14 times the surface of the Parc des Princes (Paris). For the 2017 edition, the ESC welcomed 200,000 professionals. 600 start-ups were present on the famous Eureka Park Marketplace. In all, the show brought together 4,000 exhibitors coveted by 60,000 media representatives.
In 2018, Luxembourg will have its own place and the opportunity to be able to showcase its performance in terms of innovation thanks to the immense media coverage ensured every year by journalists from all over the world. 8 start-ups will be selected by 15 November 2017 by a committee composed of members of EAEC and Luxinnovation. The preferred sectors are Space, Automotive, Media & Content, FinTech, CyberSecurity, Big Data, IoT, GreenTech and FoodTech.
Luxembourg participants will have access to Euro Tech Week organised by EAEC. B2B meeting and co-working lounge areas will be available and pitch sessions will take place (120 registered start-ups) in front of an international VC venue for 3 days.
The first phase of recruitment of the start-ups has been launched - candidates will have until Friday 27 October to send their application to email: ces@eaec.lu.
