Unicareers, organised by Moovijob for the University of Luxembourg, is being held in Luxembourg on 23 September 2016 at the Luxembourg Conference Centre (Place de l'Europe, Luxembourg-Kirchberg).
The event is dedicated to students looking for an internship or a first job opportunity, and profiles up to 4 years of experience. The first 2 editions organised in 2014 and 2015 turned out to be great sucesses with more than a thousand recruitments.
More than 120 companies will be presented to young talent in the job fair which aims to create a bridge between businesses and young graduates throughout the day. The job fair enhances student employability and cooperation with Luxembourg companies.
The event, sponsored by Ferrero, ING, Luxair and Swiss Life, this year gives students the opportunity to establish many promising contacts. The organiser of the exhibition in collaboration with the University of Luxembourg, Moovijob, was able to attract more than one hundred twenty companies and renowned institutions - a dozen more than last year. Exhibitors will offer students some 2,000 jobs or internships and represent all relevant business sectors: innovative industrial companies, law firms, consultants, the very promising field of information technology and the public sector. These presentations will be complemented by information for the world of work in Luxembourg, including 11 hours at a roundtable on youth employment that will give the floor to the Minister of Labour, Nicolas Schmit. The programme also includes various workshops in which representatives of PwC, ING, State Street, ESA (European Space Agency), Siemens and Swiss Life will address current topics particularly relevant to anyone who is looking for a first job.
The 2016 edition is expected to host about 3,500 visitors, as in 2015. As always, the show will be open to all students, trainees, graduates and young professionals from Luxembourg, all the Greater Region and beyond. Free buses are again being organised for participants from Trier, Metz and other cities in the region, as well as from Liege, the Brussels area, Paris and Lyon. This is an opportunity for young visitors to introduce themselves to companies and apply for an internship, a job graduation, a temporary contract or a first job. Compared to conventional written applications, the lounge offers the visitors to be able to appear in person and pass the first barrier CV.
