ISACA Luxembourg Chapter has announced a conference for Wednesday 21 September, taking place from 17:45 at Alvisse Parc Hotel (120 Route d'Echternach, L-1453 Luxembourg).

The conference will address the most recent findings in neuroscience to revisit management practices and develop “brain friendly” leadership aligned with the challenges of the 21st century, by Patrick Goffart (co-founder and managing partner of NeuroLead).

Well-being at work increases individual performance by 27%, engagement at work by 32% and satisfaction at work by 46%. (Harvard study). It also reduces significantly risk and safety issues.

Think of it: safety, quality, productivity, innovation, effectiveness, growth and any kind of other results you are striving to achieve are produced by our human behaviors. And ultimately those behaviors are driven consciously or unconsciously by human minds processed by human brains.

Whatever goals you are pursuing in your organizations, in order to succeed you need best-in-class Leadership to influence those individual and collective behaviors and mindsets.

The “Positive Leadership” conference proposed by NeuroLead leverages the most recent findings in neuroscience to revisit our management practices and develop a true “brain friendly” Leadership aligned with the challenges of our 21st century.

During this conference you will take a deep dive into our brain’s rules to discover what really drives human behavior. We will introduce the 5 essential missions of any leader and, more importantly, how we can perform in the most practical-effective-brain-friendly manner. You will understand better the intertwined actions of our motivations, emotions and mindset at work. You will get insight into the difference between automatic and adaptive intelligence, between fixed and growth mindset and how you can leverage them to achieve your goals. You will learn you have not one but four ways of making decisions and not all are equal when it comes to perform safely. And you will be able to understand the difference between Stress and Flow and how to reconcile well-being at work and performance.

Patrick Goffart studied Economics and Neuroscience-based Leadership. Professionally, Patrick worked in public and private, for-profit and non-profit sectors.

He provided counsel to Belgian ministers on political economy for some 10 years. And has been a member of the Executive Committee of two major financial institutions for 17 years as CIO and CFO. Later on he became CEO of a large group of 5 hospitals in Belgium and successfully led their merger.

Patrick developed a passion for Leadership and embarked on a sabbatical post-graduate journey to discover, understand and integrate how to leverage neuroscience to get bottom-line Leadership improvement. He co-founded NeuroLead to help organizations leverage Positive Leadership to develop both performance and well-being at work. Patrick believes, and has practically experienced, that a brain-friendly Positive Leadership is the way forward for any 21st century organization. He is passionate about sharing his experience and insights with you and with as many managers and leaders as possible to make your organizations better places to work and thrive.

Followed by a networking cocktail.
