Following its 20th year anniversary charity ball on Saturday 19 November 2016, the Luxembourg Red Cross has raised €520,000 for its activities abroad.

At the weekend, for its 20th anniversary, the Red Cross held a ball which was attended by its president, her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. The event was organised under by some of the best representatives of the culinary and artistic scenes. supervision of Florence Reckinger-Taddei and raised €520,000 for the charity.

The event’s theme was the 1920s which was illustrated by Christian Lacroix’s design. 

Presenter Stéphane Bern hosted the evening which encouraged solidarity and where over 60 charity raffle tickets were sold. Meanwhile, the poetic soprano Cécile Rives charmed the guests with her lyrical songs and air acrobatics.

With over 200 enthusiastic guests present at this year’s charity ball, the Luxembourg Red Cross was able to raise a significant sum of money for its international activities.
