Luxembourg charitable organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss has made another step forward in its technical progress by making its website also available in English.

With the support of communication agencies VOUS and The Loupe, Stëmm vun der Strooss upgraded its website in 2015 to operate under the new domain name of www.stemm.lu. Up until April 2016, Stëmm's website had only been in French, but 25-year-old Criminal Law and Criminal Justice student at the University of London, Michaela Peters, has volunteered her time to translate the contents of the newly-designed website into English.

"This new name is much shorter and easier for people to remember," Alexandra Oxacelay, Stëmm director, explained. "Both employees and our clients refer to us as "Stëmm" and so it makes sense to use this abbreviation globally. Our websire was due an upgrade and is now cleaner, faster and not only looks much better but is also easier to navigate. We are very pleased to announce that it is now also available in English, which is very important for us to be able to access a wider, international audience."

Stëmm vun der Strooss has been running since 1996 as an organisation supporting homeless people or those who live close to the poverty line and are at risk of becoming homeless. The association encourages the social and professional integration of underprivileged but also discriminated individuals.
