Stëmm vun der Strooss continues to receive support from the Luxembourg community, with grocery shop Primafood having bestowed the most recent act of kindness.
The shop provided the SVDS association with 70kg of chicken, allowing people in need supported by Stëmm to enjoy a delayed Easter lunch on Thursday 31 March 2016. The shop, which is located in Basharage, was able to provide 200 beneficiaries of Stëmm's social restaurant in Hollerich with a special lunch through the donation, at the initiative of John Daems, head of food stuffs wholesaler Primafood.
"We are very grateful for all the support we can get for our social restaurant as unfortunately the number of visitors to feed keeps rising," commented Alexandra Oxacelay, director of Stëmm vun der Strooss.
Stëmm vun der Strooss provides a wide range of services that work towards the social and professional re-integration of people into Luxembourg society. In 2015, it served 45,722 meals to those in need through its social restaurants.
