The Fondation Follereau Luxembourg (FFL) has become a member of the "Don en Confiance Luxembourg".
The FFL is a Luxembourg-based organisation that provides aid in nine different African countries. It is committed to helping in several areas such as healthcare, education, better conditions for women, etc.
It has recently become a member of the Don en Confiance Luxembourg organisation which sets out six commitments the for the member organisations to comply with:
1. The right of donors (to respect the donors' rights regarding information, documents and questions, etc.)
2. Disinterested management (to remain firm and unbiased in all areas, management as well as employees)
3. Strict management (to implement procedures and controls and to ensure effectiveness, to ensure competence and unbias in suppliers, etc.)
4. Blameless communication actions (to remain objective and fair when giving the public their donors, not to condone discrimination or disrespect the dignity of the beneficiary)
5. Blameless fund collection actions (not to sell, share or exchange the donor list, etc.)
6. Financial transparency to donors (keep proper accounts, to prepare their annual accounts including the balance sheet, etc.)
The “Don en Confiance Luxembourg” was founded January 2011 by 16 organisations in Luxembourg, all recognised as a public utility and using public donations. The association now has 28 members in addition to the FFL, including the Luxembourg Red Cross, the Fondation Cancer and SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde.
