The Renmans team of butchers have renewed their partnership with the non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss (SVDS) which will see the former provide 4,700 meals to beneficiaries of the association in 2016.

On Wednesday 30 October 2015, SVDS President, Marcel Detaille, and Vice-President, Jacques Hansen, met in Foetz with Renmans, which was represented by the Viande group, one of the ten butchers in Luxembourg affiliated with Renmans. The Belgian family business recommitted to supporting SVDS from December 2015 to November 2015, including 300 kilos of free meat just for this December, through a renewed partnership which has already seen 15,000 meals provided to SVDS between 2011 and 2015.

To achieve this, Renmans will be launching the initiative 'During the Holidays, Share' in December 2015, with each store encouraging its customers to finance the meat needed in the preparation of 2,500 meals. Considering 120 grams of meat are needed per meal, this would represent 300 kg with which Stëmm would be presented.

Then from January to November 2016, Renmans will be providing 24 kilos of meet for free, one day a month, to Stëmm vun der Strooss, signifying 264 kilos over 11 months of meat of the same quality as is found in Renmans displays.

"This solidarity action will be relayed through several media, a mail campaign through Renmans butchers in Luxembourg, on our website, social networks etc...Renmans will also add a link on the Stëmm vun der Strooss site," explained Steve Jardin of Viande Luxembourg.

The charity will be responsible for transporting the meat from the butcher in the best hygiene and freshness conditions.
