On Sunday 12 June 2016, the second edition of the Lëtzebuerger Lidderfouer will be held at the cultural meeting centre of the Abbaye de Neumünster.

The Lidderfouer was first launched in 2015 at the initiative of the European Institute of Choral Singing (INECC). It aims to assemble all the musicians of Luxembourg, and in so doing give the public the opportunity to discover the richness of Luxembourg's vocal music repertoire. It also offers a platform for making contacts, meaning that interested parties can obtain information from documentation centres and musical archives as well as from music editors and exchange with expert institutes and associations.

The programme for the second edition was presented by Secretary of State for Culture, Guy Arendt, on Monday, who thanked the organisers and partners of the Lidderfouer for their efforts to promote Luxembourg's musical heritage. He commented that he valued dearly the activities of cultural institutes aimed at developing interest in the cultural heritage of the country and to promote new initiatives to enhance intellectual production.

More than 16 partners will be gathering for the 2016 edition, with the Liddefouer due to open at 11:00 on Sunday 12 June 2016. From 12:00 to 17:00, a variety of concerts will be held every hour. The day will end with the final melody of the Holy Passion of Saint Jean by Luxembourg composer Jean-Pierre Kemmer, sung by all the choirs present.
