
The Luxembourg City Tourist Office has announced the next two lunchtime concerts that will be held in March and April 2016.
The first concert will be held on Friday 11 March at 12:30 in the Protestant Church, 5 rue de la Congrégation, Luxembourg.
The event “Jeunes Talents” (“Young Talents”) will host the following winners of the young Union Grand-Duc Adolphe (UGDA) of Luxembourg and European soloists:
Yanis Grisó (Luxembourg), violinist and winner of “Concours Luxembourgeois et Européen pour Jeunes Solistes 2015” (“European and Luxembourg Competition for Young Soloists 2015”) and the SACEM 2015 award.
Natalia Labourdette Alda (Spain), singer and winner of the EMCY awards 2015 and the winner of the “Concurso Permanente de Jóvenes Intérpretes de Juventudes Musicales de España”
Gustas Raudonius (Lituania), on piano and the winner of “National Balys Dvarionas Piano and String Competition 2014” as well as the “Roma International Piano Competition" in 2015.
Astrid Bjelland ( Norway), playing the flute and the winner of the EMCY awards of 2016 as well as the “Ungdommens Musikkmsterkap” (“Norwegian Music Competition for Youth”).
The second concert will be held on Friday 15 April at 12:30 at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, 33 rue Charles Martel, Luxembourg.
This event will be directed by Adj. Maj. Christian Kirpes, Deputy Head of the Military Music Grand-Ducale and will close with a performance of the “Orchestre d’Harmonie de la Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale” (“the Grand-Ducale Military Music Band”). Sgt Stephanie Schlink will be performing as Soprano.

3. Romeo and Juliet by P. I. Tchaikovsky with Soloist, Sgt. Stéphanie Schlink
4. So anch’io la virtu magica – extract from “Don Pasquale” G. Donizetti with Soloist, Sgt. Stéphanie Schlink
5. BEDA by Rainer Serwe
As always entrance is free.
The Lunchtime Concerts are offered by the City of Luxembourg, the Ministry of Culture and organised by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office in collaboration with the Conservatory of the City, the Luxembourg Agency for Cultural Action, Neimënster, the Protestant Church and cipa the Op der Rum.
