Neimënster today announced the launch of its 'Springboard' programme, to showcase the talents of young musicians in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
According to Neimënster, it intends to offer the 'Springboard' initiative as a platform for young talents in music and other artistic disciplines, providing them with a professional environment in which to reveal their abilities.
The first concert in this respect will be provided by Trio Inverso, a group originally formed in 2011 at the Conservatoire du Nord. Joëlle Wiseler on saxophone, Jeff Mack on trumpet and vocals and Claude Kraus on piano will take to the stage on Tuesday 15 September 2015 to overthrow the classic image of the chamber orchestra with surprising instruments creating a new sound.
By their very name they seek to evoke contrasts, versatility and spontaneity in their music during performances at the Philharmonie and concerts in the Greater Region, and will now be offering their innovation to the audiences of Neimënster.
The following week, on Wednesday 23 September 2015, will be the turn of Duo Clarima, a band formed of harpist Clara Dicke and mandolin player Salima Ben Guigui, who met at the Hochschule für Musik Saar and bonded over their passion for music. The blend of harp and mandolin mixes tradition and modernity to produce a surprising range of harmonic colours.
Trio Inverso will be performing at 20:00 on 15 September at the Salle Robert Krieps of Neimënster, whilst Duo Clarima will be on stage at 20:00 on 23 September in the Cloister Lucien of Neimënster.
Tickets to each concert cost €15 at standard rate, €8 at reduced and €1.50 with a Kulturpass. Tickets can be bought at www.neimenster.lu.
