On Monday 13 January 2025, Banque Raiffeisen, Luxembourg’s cooperative bank, continued its annual tradition of providing financial support to various charitable organisations across the country.
The donations, totalling €30,000, were officially presented at the Banque Raiffeisen headquarters in Leudelange, in the presence of Laurent Zahles, President of the Management Committee, along with Management Committee Members Eric Peyer, Georges Heinrich and Sandrine De Vuyst.
As in previous years, Banque Raiffeisen selected six Luxembourg-based charitable associations to receive donations of €5,000 each. The beneficiaries are:
- Trauerwee asbl, based in Tétange, which supports children and adolescents coping with the loss of a loved one;
- Fondation Lëtzebuerger Kannerduerf, headquartered in Mersch, which provides care, education and support to children and families;
- Stand Speak Rise Up!, located in Colmar-Berg, which aids survivors of sexual violence in conflict zones and supports their recovery process;
- Philippines - Luxembourg Society asbl, based in Oetrange, which promotes cultural exchange between Luxembourg and the Philippines while providing humanitarian aid and education support;
- Aide à l’Enfance de l’Inde et du Népal, based in Luxembourg City, which partners with local communities in India and Nepal to promote self-sufficiency and development;
- Fondation Autisme Luxembourg, headquartered in Capellen, which advocates for the rights and social inclusion of people with autism in Luxembourg.
"Once again this year, Banque Raiffeisen has selected associations and foundations renowned for their commitment, dedication and dynamism, but also for the diversity of their objectives. All of them, however, aim to offer effective support to people in distress, which the Bank fully supports,” stated the bank in a press release.
