Caritas Luxembourg has reported that the latest Pluxee meal voucher donation campaign raised €14,990 for the local non-profit organisation.

Since July 2009, Pluxee Luxembourg (formerly Sodexo) and Caritas Luxembourg have teamed up to help families in need in the Grand Duchy. In fifteen years, more than €295,000 in meal vouchers have been collected and donated to the "Caritas Buttek" social grocery stores.

The latest Pluxee meal voucher donation campaign (both paper and digital vouchers) brought in the sum of €14,990. This year, Pluxee Luxembourg employees also actively participated in a volunteering initiative in the context of the partnership with Caritas. Their mission was to prepare fresh and nutritious smoothies intended for and distributed to the beneficiaries of Caritas social grocery stores.

As reported by Caritas Luxembourg, the Caritas Buttek social grocery stores are currently in high demand. Many customers cannot make ends meet at the end of the month and can thus shop at these stores at a low price. In 2023, 5,200 people were supported through social grocery stores, including 1,402 children.

For 2024, Pluxee Luxembourg is preparing a new stage in its solidarity commitment with Caritas, with the launch of a 100% digital action. Holders of Pluxee Lunch cards will be able to make a donation via the dedicated page of the Caritas website by providing their first and last name and email address. The donation will be made in the same way as a traditional online transaction with the Pluxee Lunch card.
