On Tuesday 25 June 2024, the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte and the National Lottery announced they achieved record financial results in 2023.

The National Lottery reportedly achieved a record gross gaming revenue of €76.8 million all while respecting responsible gaming. Last year, players were able to win sums totalling more than €135.2 million and commissions paid to resellers reached €16.2 million (in 2022, players won €94,7 million).

This financial result allowed the Œuvre to allocate a record amount of €30.6 million in aid to its beneficiaries in 2023.

Thus, in addition to the €15.9 million intended for legal beneficiaries (National Solidarity Fund and the 30 social offices) and the €5.2 million allocated in the form of recurring aid, the Œuvre was able to support 186 one-off associative projects with a total of €9.4 million.

The Œuvre and the National Lottery have been active for almost 80 years.
