For the 13th consecutive year, Renmans, represented by Serge Jadin, has confirmed its support of the social restaurants of the Stëmm vun der Strooss in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg-Hollerich and Ettelbruck.
Between January 2024 and November 2024, Renmans will supply them with 24 kg of meat one day a month, which equates to 264 kg over these 11 months. The various kitchens will thus be able to obtain supplies from the nearest butcher's shop to their location.
To honour this wonderful campaign, Renmans representatives invited Arnaud Watelet, Administrative and Financial Director at Stëmm vun der Strooss, and André Theisen, Vice-President of Stëmm vun der Strooss, to the butcher's premises in Foetz in early December to take the traditional photo and to launch another campaign in the spirit of Christmas.
Since the beginning of December and until the end of this year, Renmans has been donating 300kg of meat free of charge to Stëmm vun der Strooss, which enables the social restaurants to offer meals during this festive month and to feed a population that is constantly growing, with an average of 400 meals served per day in Hollerich, 250 meals in Esch-sur-Alzette and 100 meals in Ettelbruck.
During the month of December, Renmans is also organising an awareness campaign among its customers and for every three raclette, plancha or beef fondue platters sold, Renmans will donate a meal to Stëmm vun der Strooss.
This campaign is part of the company's social responsibility policy with the slogan: "Ensemble offrons plus de 4,500 repas aux plus démunis". Renmans will inform its customers that it will donate the meat needed to prepare more than 4,500 meals in the period December 2023 and throughout 2024. At a portion of 120 grams of meat per meal, this amounts to a total of 564 kg.
