The pupils of the Centre pour le développement socio-émotionnel (CDSE; centre for socio-emotional development) have donated more than €2,000 to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local non-profit organisation which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of Luxembourg society.

At an official donation ceremony on Wednesday 19 October 2022, Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, received a cheque for €2,010. The ceremony took place at the restaurant Bei den Zwillingen in Belenhaff (Junglinster), in the presence of Diane Dhur, Director of the CDSE, Véronique Schons, Deputy Director, and Jennifer Breithoff, Executive Officer Annex Junglinster, as well as eight pupils with their teachers, Sandra Fratini and Sandy Neu, and restaurant operators Nadja and Christian Thoma.

The CDSE pupils had organised a dinner as part of their "Doing Good, Does Good" project on 6 July 2022. They had the opportunity to be restaurateurs for a day: setting up a menu, cooking, decorating and waiting on tables, etc. The pupils carried out this project as a team and under the direction of Nadja and Christian Thoma and the teaching staff. In total, the pupils cooked for about 50 people and the proceeds from this event were donated to charity.

The pupils wanted to donate the money collected to Stëmm vun der Strooss. Alexandra Oxacelay announced that the donation would help fund some of the work on the non-profit's new social restaurant in Ettelbruck.
