The Fondation Kriibskrank Kanner charity which helps children suffering from cancer, together with their families, has announced that the fifth edition of LËTZ GO GOLD will take place on Saturday 24 September 2022.

Finding new drugs and improving those that exist to fight childhood cancer is the goal of the LËTZ GO GOLD solidarity race.

Luxembourg supermarket chain Cactus, a long-time partner of the Fondation Kriibskrank Kanner, announced its support as Gold partner for this charity event. All the funds collected by the participants will be donated fully to the scientists involved in research against childhood cancer: to discover new drugs, improve those that exist and deepen scientific knowledge of the causes of childhood cancers.

An event for everyone

Each participant undertakes, in order to be able to reach the starting line of the race, to collect a minimum of €200 (€100 for minors and students under 25). Participants will be able to choose from four routes: 1.5 km accessible to strollers, wheelchairs and any other reduced mobility, 5 km walk or 5 km or 10 km run. All the races are done without timing and the podiums will reward the participants who have collected the largest sum, individually or as a team.

In 2021, more than 900 participants took the start of the fourth edition and no less than €436,000 were collected. The Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner emphasises the importance of fundraising and encourages anyone and any company to join the solidarity initiative of the Lëtz Go Gold race.
