The Bleesdaller Dunnekëscht theatrical troupe, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, recently donated €3,000 to SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, the Luxembourg branch of the umbrella non-profit organisation SOS Children's Villages International.

Bleesdaller Dunnekëscht raised this sum for children and families who are victims of the war in Ukraine through the organisation of three theatrical evenings in the village hall of Brandenbourg (north-eastern Luxembourg) in March 2022.

Sophie Glesener, Director of SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, thanked the troupe for this gesture of solidarity while evoking the immense needs of the population and the difficult but courageous work of the SOS teams in the field. She reaffirmed the long-term commitment of the Luxembourg non-profit to support children and families in Ukraine for as long as it takes for them to rebuild their lives.

At the end of June 2022, with its partners, SOS Children's Villages had supported more than 42,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries in Ukraine and 3,250 in about fifteen countries hosting refugees.
