Luxembourg non-profit organisation SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde has annocunced the second edition of its crowdfunding campaign: 20 km for SOS.
20 km for SOS is a solidarity challenge for children across the world, running from 1 June to 31 August 2022. Its target: set a distance of 20 km or more going rollerblading, riding a scooter, cycling, running or any mean appropriate and rally family, friends and / or colleagues to sponsor each kilometre accomplished with €5. There is no category or required level; the challenge is open to everyone. It can be done alone, in groups of two, three or more, with family or friends, in one go or split over time.
The goal is the same for everyone: create joyful moments and allow underprivileged children supported by programmes of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde a moment of joy, as well. The proceedings will go towards supporting emergency response programmes of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde in Colombia (providing care to Venezuelan migrant children), in Madagascar (helping families facing famine), in Central African Republic (strengthening access to education for vulnerable pupils) as well as in Ukraine and in a dozen host countries where refugee children and families are facing war and its consequences.
