This Wednesday, 27 April 2022, a Red Cross humanitarian transport left Luxembourg to Ukraine; on board were medical and disinfection equipment for hospitals, gloves, masks and also food products.
The lorry transporting the goods will join a convoy that will reach Chernivtsi in western Ukraine on Friday. From there, the aid will be directed towards Donbass, where the Luxembourg Red Cross has been working since the start of the conflict, and also towards the capital Kyiv.
“For logistical reasons, most of the transport that we organise as a Luxembourg link in the great solidarity chain of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement leaves from Macedonia. Today, thanks to the generosity of local companies JNS Labs, Meditech and La Provençale, we have put together a shipment from Luxembourg.” said Rémi Fabbri, Director of Humanitarian Aid for the Luxembourg Red Cross. "We are working alongside our Ukrainian colleagues in the Donbass region, near the front lines, and also in helping refugees who have arrived in Moldova and Luxembourg," he said.
