Credit: Stëmm vun der Strooss
Luxembourg humanitarian organisation Schungkëscht Asbl has donated clothes and chocolate to Stëmm vun der Strooss, a local charity which supports homeless people and vulnerable members of society.
This marks the second time that Schungkëscht Asbl, which is led by twelve private individuals, has shown its support to Stëmm vun der Strooss. In 2019, the team made an appeal on Facebook to collect sanitary products, caps and scarves for people in need. After putting them in shoeboxes wrapped in gift paper, the NGO distributed part of the items on the streets and part of them to Stëmm vun der Strooss.
One year later, the sanitary crisis could not keep the leaders of the organisation from helping disadvantaged people once again. Schungkëscht Asbl found an alternative solution by raising money to buy jogging suits, fleece jackets, caps and socks with a value of €1,300. In addition to the clothes, the organisation donated sachets filled with chocolate to sweeten the gift giving.
