Cactus has raised over €16,000 for the Luxembourgish non-profit association natur&ëmwelt through the sale of its organic bread "Bio Naturbrout".

On Friday 5 March 2021, Cactus presented a cheque for €16,118 to the natur&ëmwelt Fondation Hëllef fir d’Natur. The money raised in 2020 will be spent on safeguarding the green frog and the dragonfly, two endangered species.

Since 2010, Cactus has been supporting a nature protection project set up by natur&ëmwelt; for each Bio Naturbrout sold, Cactus donates ten cents to the foundation’s projects. The money raised in the first half of 2020 was used to save the endangered green frog. The donation funded the acquisition and management of nature reserves, rich in ponds, to accommodate green frogs and ensure their long-term survival. From October 2020, the money raised helped fund the protection of the emperor dragonfly, one of the largest species of dragonflies in Europe, and its reception in these nature reserves.

Since the launch of Bio Naturbrout in 2010, Cactus has raised the sum of €166,532 for natur&ëmwelt's projects. Throughout the year 2021, Cactus customers will be able to continue to support dragonfly protection by purchasing this organic bread designed by Pains&Tradition.
