During Christmas 2020, pupils of the "Bëschklass" of Crauthem Primary School gave gifts to people in need in Luxembourg.

Every Christmas, these children are used to receiving presents. This year, however, they wanted to reverse the roles and instead give gifts to those in need, in collaboration with the local non-profit organisation Stëmm vun der Strooss.

That is how the idea of making a unique Christmas calendar was born. Every day in December, the children brought toys, canned food and dry goods from home to offer them to people in need who could not afford to buy them for themselves or their loved ones.

On behalf of Stëmm vun der Strooss, Marc Balthasar thanked the teacher Fabienne Schou for the many boxes of gifts collected. They were given to the 30 people at the Schweesdreps vocational rehabilitation centre in Esch-sur-Alzette (30 Rue Jos Kieffer).
