The local section of the Luxembourg Red Cross in Luxembourg City has announced its decision to not open its pop-up stores at Royal Hamilius as part of the "Bazaar on Tour", this weekend due to the current health situation.

Manou Hoss, president of the local section of the Luxembourg Red Cross in Luxembourg City, explained: "We have decided to show our solidarity with our government's recommendation to reduce contacts and excursions, which is why our pop-up shops are going to close. We would like to thank our loyal customers, donors and sponsors who contributed to the success of our actions during the month of November and we are now going to focus on our online actions via the Bazaar On Tour website in order to continue our commitment to children and young people".

The organisers have announced the following three online initiatives to support the activities of the Luxembourg Red Cross in favour of children and young people:

- ART WORKS, an online auction of artworks by renowned local artists. The paintings are visible on the Bazaar on Tour website and anyone wishing to acquire one of the works can make an offer online. The auction will close on Sunday 29 November 2020 at 18:00, after which the auction winners will be notified personally;

- Red Cross Christmas Tree: give a gift to a child. This traditional end-of-year campaign offers Christmas gifts to less privileged children. To participate, visit the above website. By making a donation of €30, each donor gives a child a gift for under the Christmas tree, as well as feelings of joy and of having not been forgotten during this holiday season.

- Online donation by credit card or digicash. Donors can decide the amount they wish to donate on the Red Cross website.

Ms Hoss concluded: "The volunteer organising team of the Bazaar on Tour remains mobilised and continues its commitment in favour of young people and children in Luxembourg".
