Gilles Reinert, Nico Biever and Alain Wildanger, associates at Genista - two family businesses, Sanichaufer and Electro Security - have presented a cheque worth €5,000 to Sophie Glesener, director of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde in Luxembourg.

Genista decided to join their know-how more than a year ago in the Grand Duchy: major corporate brands in the construction market, they now offer a global solution covering heating, sanitation, air conditioning, ventilation, electricity, home automation, security systems, IP network and telephony.

Through its values and family approach, Genista wanted to join the humanitarian aid by donating to the association SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde. This action will benefit vulnerable children in the most disadvantaged countries, the objective being to support the association but especially to contribute to humanitarian projects to meet the basic needs of all these children.

Sophie Glesener, director of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde warmly welcomed their valuable initiative: "We sincerely thank you for your commitment to help us make protection and the rights of the child a priority". In 2017, SOS Children's Villages Worldwide supported 24 projects in 13 countries: development programmes focused on protection and children's rights, care for children who find themselves alone, community accompaniment and support for education as well as emergency aid projects".

"We sincerely hope that this contribution will give a smile to the children in a situation of great fragility in developing countries," said the three associates, adding: "it is a solidarity action that is close to our hearts and brings together the 270 employees of the company".
