Luxembourg' Ministry of Health has issued a statement concerning the crowdfunding initiative by Stëmm vun der Strooss which is looking to raise €30,000 for a new oven, based on a significant increase in the number of meals prepared daily for the homeless and vulnerable in society.
The Ministry has welcomed the crowdfunding initiative which they describe as a solidarity approach that aims to make all citizens aware of the poorest in our society. The Ministry also stated that, to date, they have received no request to participate in the financing of this equipment by the "Stëmm vun der Strooss", and mentioned that they are "willing to give a favourable response" if approached.
A "faithful and committed partner" of the Ministry of Health for many years, "Stëmm vun der Strooss" has been supported by the Ministry with a budget of more than €4 million for 2018.
