Luxembourg fashion brand vol(t)age has marked its fifteenth anniversary with a runway presentation and the launch of a new collection, while also announcing a new phase in the brand’s development.
Earlier this month, founders Claudie Grisius and Stéphanie Grisius presented the latest collection during a runway performance at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg. The event combined fashion, film and storytelling and followed three themes: “Early Years”, “Becoming” and “The Evolved Woman”.
Founded in 2011, vol(t)age first became known for its reversible silk and velvet “v-necks” and later expanded into shirts combining tailoring with printed words, symbols and messages. The founders describe the concept behind the brand as “Wardrobe Therapy”, combining elements of fashion, psychology and philosophy.
According to the founders, the brand originally emerged unexpectedly from Claudie Grisius’s interest in how clothing can influence perception and self-awareness while she was working as a lawyer.
Today, Claudie Grisius oversees the conceptual and philosophical direction of the brand, while her sister Stéphanie Grisius focuses on translating the ideas into designs and silhouettes. As they explained, “one defines the intention, the other gives it form”.
The anniversary also marks a professional shift for the company. In June 2026, Stéphanie Grisius will leave her career in finance to work full-time on the brand.
The latest collection expands beyond scarves and silk garments into skirts, trousers and coats, accompanied by accessories including bows, ties, collars, brooches and hats. The fashion brand highlighted that this marks an evolution of the brand. "The collection is conceived as an extension of a way of thinking, not just a wardrobe," said Stéphanie Grisius.
The brand said craftsmanship and regional production remain central to its work. This season also introduced hemp as a material, sourced locally as a by-product of CBD production. Some designs were created in collaboration with Luxembourg milliner Modes Nita.
The founders added that only recently they have begun speaking publicly more frequently about their transition from careers in law and finance into fashion entrepreneurship.
