The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has announced that resurfacing works will take place on Avenue du Bois in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg from 06:00 on Saturday 30 May until 13:00 on Sunday 31 May 2026.
According to the VdL, the works will require the following traffic measures to be implemented throughout the duration of the project:
- traffic will be prohibited on Avenue du Bois between Rue des Glacis and Rue Frantz Seimetz;
- traffic will be prohibited on Rue Ermesinde between Rue J.-P. Koenig and Avenue du Bois;
- Rue Ermesinde will become one-way between Rue des Roses and Avenue du Bois;
- Rue Henri VII will become one-way between Avenue Victor Hugo and Avenue du Bois;
- Rue Guillaume Schneider will become one-way between Rue des Roses and Avenue du Bois;
- traffic will be prohibited on Rue Lamartine;
- traffic will be prohibited on Rue Jean-Georges Wilmar;
- traffic will be prohibited on Rue Ignace de la Fontaine.
The City of Luxembourg’s Traffic Department noted that appropriate signage will be put in place.
In addition, the following changes will apply to public transport during the works:
- Bus line 19 will be diverted via Rue des Cerisiers;
- the stops Arts et Métiers, Guillaume Schneider, Bois and Limpertsberg-Waassertuerm Quai 3 will be suspended;
- these stops will be replaced by a temporary stop located in front of buildings 14–16 on Rue des Cerisiers and by Limpertsberg-Waassertuerm Quai 2.
The VdL thanked residents, road users and public transport users for their understanding regarding any inconvenience caused.
