The developers of Dolia, a growth platform specifically designed for beverage producers, have announced that following its participation in the Wine Tech Challenge, it has been selected to move into a live pilot phase of development.

The Wine Tech Challenge is a global open innovation programme run by Eatable Adventures, one of the world's leading food technology accelerators, in partnership with the Verona Agrifood Innovation Hub and is supported by UniCredit. The programme connects high-potential technology startups with major wine industry players for live validation and industrial pilots. Following an initial application and selection phase, the selected projects were announced on Tuesday 12 May 2026.

Dolia, a startup founded in Luxembourg in 2025 by co-founders Giovanni Binello, Eraldo Federico Acchiappati and Andrea Aschei, is described as a growth platform specifically designed for beverage producers.

According to the developers, the platform combines tools that previously did not exist in one place: a public profile that makes producers discoverable to distributors and agents worldwide, a matchmaking system to find and connect with new sales partners, digital catalogues and product sheets for trade shows and tastings, and a full sales management suite covering orders, commissions and stock.

To create Dolia, the team behind the project combined their experience from the startup and innovation ecosystem — including building and scaling early-stage ventures and advising large corporates on digitalisation and innovation — plus previous experiences in wine distribution and sales. The team said Luxembourg became the base for its development because of its international environment and its position at the heart of Europe, “which is exactly the kind of market we want to serve”.

At the Wine Tech Challenge at the Verona Agrifood Innovation Hub in Verona (Italy), Dolia was selected from 80 international applications from startups working on the future of wine. In total, eight were selected to move into a live pilot phase with major Italian wine producers like Pasqua Vini and Paladin and large scale distributors like Mack & Schuhle.

Dolia emphasised: “What sets us apart is the focus on the commercial side of the business, not just the operational side. Most software in this space is built around inventory or compliance, whereas we built around growth.”
