Boissons Heintz and Munhowen, two century-old Luxembourg family businesses, have announced their decision to merge.

According to these two family entities, they have always shared the same entrepreneurial spirit, aiming to offer a quality benchmark to their customers.

Boissons Heintz, established in Hosingen in northern Luxembourg, has been active for more than 100 years in the sale and distribution of drinks in Luxembourg. Initially a local distributor, the company has become a major player in distribution, generating a turnover of €39 million and employing 70 people. It has a range of more than 2,500 products.

A subsidiary of the Brasserie Nationale (widely known as the Bofferding Brewery), Munhowen is established in Ehlerange. Founded in 1908, it merged with Hippert in 1999. Munhowen distributes Brasserie Nationale products as well as over 3,000 other products in the Greater Region. Its current turnover amounts to €89 million, with a workforce of 253 people.

This union, bringing together the history, values and traditions of two closely linked entities, opens up "exciting" prospects through the pooling of existing resources and skills. The two companies added that the objective of this approach is to "ensure sustainability and growth within the Greater Region, in order to be able to continue to provide the best products and services to all existing and future customers".
