Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg Moves into the House of Entrepreneurship

Since mid-September 2017, Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL) has moved to the premises of the House of Entrepreneurship on 14 rue Erasme, Kirchberg.

This new move to the entrepreneurial centre of the country has been described as beneficial by both partners. For Tom Baumert, CEO of the House of Entrepreneurship, it has been "a great opportunity to strengthen the links between the key actors of entrepreneurship in Luxembourg and the educational world".

Indeed, approximately 10,500 students participated in the non-profit organisation's educational programmes in 2016-2017. "In the last two years, some of them have taken the plunge and started their own business. Others are about to do it,” commented JEL’s Stéphanie Damgé.

The coming year will be synonymous with innovations for Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg. In addition to the move, there will also be the launch of the new programme "My first Enterprise" which is addressed to 4^th- and 10^th-grade pupils in all of Luxembourg’s lycées. A group of three or four students with a starting capital will try to make it profitable through a buying activity of small products, a service offered or a small production activity. The goal is to enable young people to learn the basics of business management and to prepare them for future projects.

Moreover, the Chamber of Commerce has become a GOLD Partner of the asbl. Likewise, the Chamber of Management has been supporting the association since its creation and actively participates in the various programmes of the organisation and their development.
