On Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February 2026, action resumed in the Enovos Basketball Leagues, with men’s Game Day 17 and the second game day of the women’s second round, both highlighted by victories for the league leaders.
In the women’s championship, there was a repeat of last week’s Luxembourg Cup final, which had been won by Sparta Bertrange. However, Mike Feyder’s side were unable to replicate that success, as T71 Dudelange claimed a 99-71 victory to take their revenge. The hosts won every quarter despite the absence of playmaker Catherine Mreches, who suffered an arm injury in the cup final. Shalonda Winton was the top scorer for the winners with 23 points, while her teammate Lauren Van Kleunen narrowly missed out on a triple-double, recording 21 points, ten rebounds and nine assists. League leaders Dudelange now hold a record of thirteen wins and one defeat, with Bertrange continuing to chase on ten wins and two losses.
In the match for fourth place in the standings, Amicale Steinsel secured an 85-68 home win over Basket Esch. Desiree Ramos was the game’s top scorer, contributing 27 points for the hosts, while her teammate A’lexus Harrison recorded a double-double with thirteen points and twelve rebounds. Both teams now have identical records of six wins and eight defeats.
Game Day 2 (Second Round):
T71 Dudelange - Sparta Bertrange 99-71
Musel Pikes - Les Sangliers Wiltz 69-68
Amicale Steinsel - Basket Esch 85-68
All three teams in the top three of the Men’s Enovos League recorded convincing victories. Arantia Larochette secured a 102-82 home win over one of the league’s lower-ranked sides, Musel Pikes. Michael Anthony Carter scored 27 points, more than a quarter of his team’s total, to finish as the game’s top scorer. Arantia now hold a record of fourteen wins and three defeats.
Sparta Bertrange boast the same record after defeating one of the newcomers, Kordall Steelers, 103-68 on their home court. The hosts led 66-24 at half-time and, although the visitors reduced the deficit slightly in the third quarter, the overall course of the game remained unchanged. Victor Chidi Iwuakor contributed more than a third of Sparta’s points, delivering a dominant double-double of 39 points and seventeen rebounds.
Current champions Etzella Ettelbruck, one win behind and completing the top three, claimed a 100-83 home victory over Résidence Walferdange. The hosts won every quarter, with Nicholas Davis leading the scoring with 25 points and seventeen rebounds. Philippe Gutenkauf also recorded a double-double with nineteen points and ten rebounds. Etzella now have thirteen wins and four losses, while Résidence Walferdange sit seventh in the standings with eight victories and nine defeats.
The battle for eighth and final place in the play-offs is currently unfolding between three teams. Two of them faced each other on Saturday, as Racing Luxembourg hosted Mambra Mamer. The visitors led for most of the contest, but with four minutes remaining Racing cut the deficit to two points and later drew level. However, they were unable to take the lead. Alan Bedirhanoglu hit a three-pointer with 39 seconds left to give Mambra a 95-91 advantage, before Max Hilger responded in kind for Racing (95-94). The hosts had nine seconds for a final possession but failed to convert. Mambra captain Domenick Selva delivered an outstanding performance, finishing with 35 points and twelve rebounds. The victory leaves Mambra in sole possession of eighth place with a record of six wins and eleven defeats. Racing sit one place below with one additional loss, while Kordall Steelers hold the same record.
In a comment to Chronicle.lu, Mambra Mamer head coach Darko Ristic described the result as particularly significant: “This is concurrent for the eighth place, so it's double win. I think we deserve to win. We controlled most of the game,” he said, adding that his team managed key moments well, stopping Racing’s possessions and maintaining offensive control.
