10th Luxembourg Film Prize to be Held in November

D'Filmakademie (the Luxembourg Film Academy) has announced that the 10th edition of the "Luxembourg Film Prize" (Filmpräis) will take place on Saturday 11 November at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg

Organised every two years jointly between the Film Fund Luxembourg and the Filmakademie, the Luxembourg Film Prize rewards the best contributions to Luxembourgish cinema and audiovisual industry. The objective is to highlight quality works, to encourage cinematographic and audiovisual creation, to favour the development of the film industry in Luxembourg and to attract the public's attention to Luxembourgish productions.

The regulations for this 10th edition have been published on the official website of the Filmpräis. It notably defines the terms of participation as well as the awarding of prizes, divided this year into 14 categories.

Thursday 15 June 2023 is the latest date for submissions: all nominations will have been submitted to the Film Academy by the production companies of the Grand Duchy. During the summer, the members of the Academy will then be invited to watch the films and vote in each category, during a two-round voting procedure designating the winners who will be awarded at the ceremony.
