Last week in Dublin, during its General Assembly of PostEurop, the association representing European public postal operators, the winners of the EUROPA stamp competitions 2022 and 2023 were announced.
POST Luxembourg's "Melusina" stamp, created by Miriam Rosner, is the winner of the EUROPA 2022 stamp competition illustrating national stories and myths.
POST won a second award with the EUROPA 2023 design competition on the following theme: "Peace: the most important human value". Thus, the visual submitted by POST Luxembourg serves as a common motif for the EUROPA stamps issued in 2023 by all postal companies. “The New Symbol of Peace” was created by designers Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir of A Designer's Collective.
Isabelle Faber, Director of Human Resources, Public Relations and CSR of POST Luxembourg, said: "We are both enthusiastic and proud that the stamps we submitted have won a double victory in the EUROPA 2022 and 2023 stamp competitions. Through stamps, POST Luxembourg aims to offer national artists a unique showcase, which now extends for Miriam Rosner and the creative duo Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir to Europe and far beyond".
The “Melusina” stamp is available in the POST Philately online store via www.postphilately.lu and at the philately counter at 13, rue Robert Stumper, Cloche d'Or.
