Luxembourgish actress Désirée Nosbusch has won the Grimme-Preis 2019 for Best Female Role in the Bad Banks TV series.

One month after the official announcement of the Adolf Grimme award winners, Désirée Nosbusch and the Bad Banks mini-series team have been awarded these German television trophies. At the end of the 55th Awards Ceremony, Bad Banks, co-produced by Iris Productions (Luxembourg) and Letterbox Filmproduktion (Germany) for the TV channels ZDF and ARTE, added five Grimme-Preis to its name: Best Direction, Best Screenplay, Best Production and Best Female Roles for Désirée Nosbusch and Paula Beer.

Following the success of its first season, the Bad Banks series will return in 2020 with a second season that will plunge the audience into the heart of high finance with a plot that takes place partly behind the scenes of the Luxembourg capital.
