
On Thursday 24 November 2016, the Automobile Club Luxembourg (ACL) held its award ceremony for its ‘Drive Safe, Drive Phone Free’ competition for young drivers.
Last Thursday, ACL awarded over 30 young people between the ages of 16 and 25 prizes for their competition entries which aimed to discourage the use of mobile phones while driving and promote safe driving.
Participants in the contest were required to submit a short educational video or an image with a relevant slogan on the subject of the dangers of using mobile phones whilst driving. The winners were selected by a jury and public vote.
Among the list of winners, six students from the Lycée Aline Mayrisch came 1st place in the photo category: Gilles Magalhaes, Laura David, Laurens Sackmann, Christophe Tholl, Sara Longhino, Elmedina Arifi. In regard to the video category, the Filmsense group won 1st place with their video contribution. This team was made up of Charel Kremer, Philippe Ferber, Idder Boukhcha, Luka Glod, Janosch Glod, Christian Heinz, Jürgen Tilmant.
