KBL European Private Bankers (KBL epb) has been named the best private bank in Luxembourg at the PWM/The Banker Global Private Banking Awards, which took place in London on 26 October 2016.

This accolade follows the recent recognition of the Luxembourg-headquartered group as among the “Outstanding Private Banks in Europe” at the 26th Private Banker International Global Wealth Awards, which were held earlier this month.

“Founded in the Grand Duchy in 1949, KBL epb is today a pillar of the country’s financial services sector and, as these awards demonstrate, a private-banking leader in Luxembourg and across Europe,” said Group CEO Yves Stein. “While we are proud of the recognition we continue to receive,” he said, “our more than 2,000 staff remain focused on meeting the needs of each client we have the opportunity to serve – whatever their requirements and wherever they are based.”

The Global Private Banking Awards are conferred annually by Professional Wealth Management and The Banker, publications of the Financial Times Group.

Organisations nominated for the awards are shortlisted based on quantitative criteria and qualitative analysis. Those entries are then evaluated by an expert panel of industry professionals from across the globe.
