The Espace Namur in Luxembourg hosted the 2nd annual Luxembourg Healthcare Summit earlier this week; in addition to the conference and workshops, the Luxembourg Healthcare Awards 2015 were announced, rewarding good practice in the sector.
- Healthcare Technology Award: The National Health Laboratory, for ensuring national epidemiological surveillance of foodborne pathogens.
- Healthcare Advisory Award: Deloitte Luxembourg.
- Healthcare Research Award: Luxembourg Insitute of Health (LIH) for its research on antiangiogenic treatment works cited nearly 200 times by the scientific community.
- Healthcare Facilities Award: Tarkett, for "FloorInMotion Care" whose ambition is to contribute to better prevention of fall hazards, and well-being of patients.
- Healthcare Operations Award: eHealth Agency, which has set up such a national electronic platform for exchange and sharing of health data.
- Patient Experience Award: Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), thanks to the success of WikiFood, a service analysing the composition of food products and detecting specific substances.
- Healthcare Innovation Award: eHealth Agency, for the launch of the DSP.
