Kenyan runner Ezekiel Koech has secured his first victory in the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg, held on Saturday 28 May 2022.

The 2022 edition of the ING Night Marathon Luxembourg, now in its fifteenth year, brought together 12,000 participants after a two-year gap due to COVID-19 measures.

Ezekiel Kiprop Koech finished the 42.195 km men's marathon in two hours, 15 minutes and 46 seconds, followed by Kenian Gedion Kipchirchir Murrei (02:31:43) and at third was Alaa Hrioued from Morroco (02:35:16). Luxembourgish runner Bertil Muller finished sixth wit ha total run time of two hours, 43 minutes and 40 seconds.

In women's full marathon, Kenyan duo, Mercy Jeptoo Tuitoek finished first (02:43:34) followed by Shauline Chepkirui Koech (02:45:12). Kerry Prise from Great Britain finished third with a total run time of two hours, 58 minutes and 29 seconds. Luxembourgish Shefi Xhaferaf finished fourth (03:07:11).

Spanish runner Eric Domingo Rolden (01:12:14) and Luxembourgish Jenny Gloden (01:20:26) finished at top in the men's and women's half-marathon, respectively. Anny Wolter, Luxembourgish, finihed second (01:22:38) in women's half-marathon.

Luc Schller, Luxembourgish, finished fourth in men's half-marathon (01:14:11).
