On Tuesday 2 February 2018, the mayor and aldermen of the ville de Luxembourg were paid a visit by children from the école fondamentale de la rue de Rollingergrund.
The Hôtel de Ville welcomed a group of pupils, with their teachers, on the occassion of Liichtmëssdag (Candlemass), the eve of the Feast of St. Blaise.
Not unlike the North American tradition of Trick or Treat at Hallowe'en, here local tradition dictates that children carry lanterns and go from door to door in all villages throughout the Grand Duchy.
