At the meeting of the Luxembourg government's cabinet on Friday 2 February 2018, the ministers agreed to four new nature reserves in the Grand Duchy.
The cabinet ministers agreed to a Grand-Ducal draft regulation protecting area of national interest as designated nature reserves, as follows:
• "Mandelbaach / Reckenerwald" located in the municipalities of Helperknapp and Mersch;
• "Léiffrachen" located in the municipalities of Kayl and Rumelange;
• "Hautbellain-Fooschtbaach" located in the municipality of Troisvierges;
• "Dumontshaff" located in the municipalities of Schifflange, Mondercange and Bettembourg.
