On Wednesday 21 January 2026, Charles Hurt, General Coordinator at the Luxembourg Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, presented certificates to the newly qualified guides as part of the Nature Training Programme.
During the ceremony, twelve candidates from the 2024/2025 cohort received official certification, in the presence of Muriel Morbé, Director of Training at the Chamber of Commerce, and Claudine Felten, Director of natur&ëmwelt Asbl, marking the successful completion of a year of training dedicated to nature education and environmental protection in Luxembourg.
Since 2007, the Nature Training Programme has been aimed at environmental professionals, youth-sector practitioners and anyone wishing to supervise groups in natural settings. Almost sixty-seven guides have been trained over the past ten years.
The Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity said the programme plays an important role in raising public awareness and protecting biodiversity, and graduates now work, among other roles, within the Nature and Forest Administration (ANF), in nature conservation unions, environmental NGOs and in schools.
The programme is organised by the National Platform for Nature Education, Environmental Education and Sustainable Development in partnership with the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity, natur&ëmwelt, the National Museum of Natural History, nature conservation centres and natural parks. The Chamber of Commerce certifies the programme.
