The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they made several arrests in Luxembourg City on Friday 7 November 2025.
On Friday morning, police officers in Rue de Hollerich in Luxembourg-Gare stopped a suspected drug dealer. The individual reportedly made suspicious swallowing motions and swallowed a white ball wrapped in plastic. A subsequent scan ordered by the public prosecutor's office revealed that the man had more drug balls - a total of eighteen foreign objects - in his body. The public prosecutor's office ordered the man's arrest. He was brought before the investigating judge on Friday afternoon.
That same afternoon, police in Luxembourg City were informed of a shoplifting incident. Shortly after 14:00, an individual had entered a store and taken a jacket before fleeing the scene. During the subsequent search, police located a suspect wearing the stolen jacket on Avenue Emile Reuter. The suspected perpetrator was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor and was set to be brought before the investigating judge on the morning of Saturday 8 November 2025.
Around 21:00 on Friday, police received a report of a person threatening two other people in the city's train station district (Luxembourg-Gare). Police officers located a suspect in the vicinity and took him to the station for further investigation. However, he was found to be "highly uncooperative" and aggressive towards the officers, attempting to spit on them and shouting death threats and insults. The man was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor and was set to be brought before the investigating judge on Saturday morning.
Separately, during a night-time patrol in Luxembourg-Gare, police officers noticed a suspicious group of people, who fled upon seeing the police. The officers were able to stop and question one of the individuals. While no crime was found, the intoxicated man reportedly became increasingly aggressive towards the officers, shouting at them and making threats. He was placed in temporary detention.
Later that night, police stopped another suspicious individual in the train station district who had fled upon seeing the officers and refused to stop for a check. The officers caught up with the man, but he resisted violently, shouting, repeatedly falling to the ground and kicking at the officers when they tried to pick him up. They eventually managed to take the intoxicated man into custody. He was placed in a sobering-up cell.
