The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a number of objects were stolen recently from vehicles.

Around midday on Sunday 1 December 2024, perpetrators reportedly gained access to two vehicles on Rue Eugene Conrad in Dudelange and rummaged through them.

Another theft from a vehicle was reported on Sunday afternoon on Avenue de la Faïencerie in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, where perpetrators entered the vehicle and stole backpacks, among other items.

In both cases, forensic investigators were on site and investigations were initiated.

Police advice on how to protect oneself from theft from vehicles includes locking vehicles even if only leaving them for a short time (e.g. when returning a shopping trolley), not leaving any valuables in the vehicle and closing all windows. The police also advised not leaving remote controls (for a garage) or keys in vehicles that have been parked in front of or near one's house.
