The Grand Ducal Police have confirmed that, on the morning of Friday 23 August 2024, they were informed of a person committing an assault on a train heading from Luxembourg city towards Mersch. 

According to initial information, a man had hit a passenger, whereupon he was arrested by police officers at the train station in Mersch. 

The suspect was taken to the police station and a report was drawn up.
