The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they arrested a suspect in relation to a stabbing incident in Mertert on Christmas Eve.
On the morning of Sunday 24 December 2023, the police received reports that an individual had suffered stab wounds to the hand after an altercation near Route de Wasserbillig in Mertert.
A police patrol found the victim and the suspect on-site. After receiving emergency medical treatment at the scene of the incident, the victim was taken to hospital for further treatment.
On the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was arrested and brought before the examining judge that same afternoon.
